Childhaven Preschool believes in providing a loving, supportive environment in which children have the opportunity to grow, develop and learn in a non-stressful, encouraging atmosphere using developmentally appropriate materials, music, activities and games. Our aim is to foster positive self-esteem, facilitate the building of relationships, develop basic academic skills, encourage physical development and create a love for learning.
The principle of the Golden Rule: "treat others the way you want to be treated." --is used in the classroom. The goal is to maintain a non-stressful atmosphere, allowing students the freedom to explore, learn, develop a healthy self-esteem and positive relationships with peers.
I have lived in Brentwood for 18 years now and been teaching preschool
since 1997. I am a Credentialed Site Supervisor as well as a Registered Nurse. I am committed to
making your child's early learning experience exciting and enjoyable and continually seek out educational experiences to expand my knowledge and improve our program. I am a member of National
Association of Family Child Care, Professional Development Program,
National Association for the Education of Young Children, and have
received generous grants from Delta First 5. Childhaven was Nationally
Accredited through NAFCC. I am also a certified zoo-phonics teacher.
